Our first real SaxoCell Stammtisch took place in parallel in Dresden and Leipzig on August 31st and it was great chatting with each other face to face in a comfortable environment!

At CRTD in Dresden, we were invited to listen to two start-up talks and to engange in a lively dicussion about the challenges faced when starting-up. We thank Richard Wetzel from denovoMATRIX as well as Claudia Mende and Robin Stegmann from Lohrmanns Brew for being our guests in Dresden and for spicing up our Stammtisch!

Of course, we also thank all participants in both cities for being there and making this a great afternoon.

In our SaxoCell lecture series open to the public, current developments in the field of cell therapy and gene therapy are to be presented by specialists from our cluster and beyond in a clear and understandable way for a broad public.The past two lectures were given by Prof. Uwe Platzbecker and Prof. Mario Rüdiger. The next lecture is scheduled for December.

In front of over 30 listeners, Prof. Torsten Tonn shared his vision and gave an insight into his work on natural killer cells used as living medicine. He also addressed opportunities this creates for SaxoCell. It was a very fruitful and lively discussion. A podcast version of the event will be available in a few weeks' time.
